Indiana General Assembly Senate Districts 2013-2015

This dataset shows the boundaries of Indiana Senate Districts for the 118th General Assembly and provides the names and party affiliations of the legislators. This shapefile was derived by modification of a preexisting shapefile named REDISTRICTED_GENERAL_ASSEMBLY_SENATE_DISTRICTS.SHP. The redistricted boundaries were provided to the Indiana Geological Survey (IGS) by the Indiana Election Division (IED) in May, 2011. The redistricted boundaries are the new legislative boundaries for the Indiana Senate for 2011 through 2021. Personnel of the IGS added the names of legislators for the 118th General Assembly to this dataset, using information obtained from the official web site of the Indiana General Assembly: http://www.in.gov/cgi-bin/legislative/listing/listing-2.pl?data=district&chamber=Senate本数据集展示了印第安纳州参议院第118届大会的选区边界，并收录了对应议员的姓名及其党派归属信息。该形状文件（shapefile）是基于名为REDISTRICTED_GENERAL_ASSEMBLY_SENATE_DISTRICTS.SHP的预存形状文件修改而来。2011年5月，印第安纳州选举局（Indiana Election Division, IED）将重新划分后的选区边界提供给印第安纳地质调查局（Indiana Geological Survey, IGS）。此次重新划定的边界为2011年至2021年印第安纳州参议院的法定选区范围。印第安纳地质调查局的工作人员通过印第安纳州议会官方网站（http://www.in.gov/cgi-bin/legislative/listing/listing-2.pl?data=district&chamber=Senate）获取的相关信息，将第118届大会议员的姓名添加至本数据集。
