VPRS 10297 Correspondence Files

This series consists largely of correspondence relating to the business of the Electrification Committee. The Electrification Committee was established to inquire into all aspects of the development of a suburban electric railway system for Melbourne. The members of the Committee included the Secretary for Railways, heads of Branches and specially seconded officers.This series was originally transferred to archives with minimal documentation which has not been evaluated. All information currently available to PROV has been incorporated into this series registration. This registration will be updated when further research is subsequently undertaken.
