Cibotium barometz isolate:DLG-2024 Genome sequencing

We report the first chromosome-level reference genome for Cibotium barometz, the golden chicken fern, a species of significant medicinal and evolutionary importance. This high-quality genome assembly provides unprecedented insights into fern genome structure and evolution, filling a critical gap in our understanding of plant genomics. Our work reveals unique features of C. barometz genome organization and gene content, shedding light on the genomic underpinnings of its medicinal properties and adaptive traits. This resource enables comparative analyses across ferns and other land plants, advancing our knowledge of plant genome evolution.
