Effects of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation applied over the Primary Motor Cortex on the Offset Analgesia Phenomenon
收藏资源简介:
Dataset of a study exploring the effects of high-frequency repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) on the Offset Analgesia (OA) phenomenon, a measure of endogenous pain modulation. The data were collected from 22 healthy volunteers who participated in three experimental sessions: a baseline session, an active rTMS session, and a sham rTMS session. The dataset includes detailed measurements obtained through Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST) paradigms, such as warm and cold detection thresholds, the heat pain threshold corresponding to a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score of 50-60 out of 100, and pain intensity ratings during both constant and offset trials. These tests were conducted on two body regions: the forearm and the trigeminal area, to assess potential region-specific effects. Data were acquired using a Q-sense Conditioned Pain Modulation device to deliver thermal stimuli and a Magstim Rapid2 Stimulator to apply 10-Hz rTMS.
