Whole genome sequencing of Pseudoterranova decipiens s.s.

Pseudoterranova decipiens, a nematode species from the Anisakidae family, is a prominent etiological agent in the zoonotic disease anisakiasis, which affects humans following the consumption of inadequately processed, infected fish. This study aims to perform long-read sequencing of the Pseudoterranova decipiens genome using Oxford Nanopore technology to provide comprehensive insights into its genomic structure. Additionally, Illumina reads were employed to enhance the accuracy of the assembled genome, offering a more precise representation of the genomic landscape of this nematode.
