An engaging ESRI Story Map Series that highlights the findings from a scientific data collection effort that monitored and recorded the presence of bird species along an award-winning stretch of restored riverine habitat in the urban environment of southern San Antonio, Texas. A River Restored: The Mission Reach Avian Study is intended to delight, educate and engage birders, naturalists and the general public alike, by showcasing birds seen during the study and describing the habitats along the river in which they thrive. It also provides maps and resources to inform interested citizens about how they can get out and recreate along the river so they can experience these beautiful species and landscapes themselves!
