A new 1D Zn(II) coordination polymer containing pyridinyl-imidazolyl ligand: crystal structure and protective effect on dermatitis by reducing the inflammatory level

A new coordination polymer of [Zn(bdc)(bimb)](DMF)(H2O)2 (1, H2bdc = 1,4-dicarboxybenzene, bimb = 6,6'-bis(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine) has been successfully synthesized by reaction of Zn(NO3)2·6H2O, H2bdc and bimb in a mixed solvent of DMF and water at 80 °C for three days. Furthermore, an ultrasound synthesis technique has been implemented to reduce the particle size of the complex 1 to generate nanoscale 1 (denoted as nano 1). We constructed the dermatitis mice model with DNFB-induction. The scoring index of the AD lesion in mice was evaluated after nano 1 treatment and the ELISA was used to measure the level of inflammatory medium after nano 1 exposure.
