In order to investigate the possible molecular mechanisms of SlMYB14 function in plant growth and stress responses, we employed the RNA-seq approach to identify the genes with altered expression levels in SlMYB14 transgenic plants. Overall design: RNA-sequencing was carried out using two independent transgenic lines (OE5, OE7). Total RNA was isolated with Trizol reagent (Invitrogen, USA) from the aerial part of the one-week-old seedlings of 35Spro:SlMYB14 (OE5 and OE7)and Zhongshu 4 (ZS4) plants grown in parallel under unstressed conditions. Materials from 10 plants of each genotype were pooled for RNA isolation.
