Association of fecal microbiota in pathophysiology of type 1 diabetic children in south Indian population

Type 1 diabetes is considered to be an autoimmune disorder, wherein the body's immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. In recent years role of gut microbiota plays a prominent role in maintaining bodily homeostasis. we aim to understand their role in pathophysiology of type 1 diabetes and role of microbes in maintaining glycemic control.
