Phage Ab31 is a temperate phage isolated in Abidjan. It lyses Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain PA14 and Tr60, a genetically related bacteria isolated from cystic fibrosis patient. The original Tr60 (non-resistant) and four Ab31-resistant P. aeruginosa strains (Tr60-10A, Tr60-100A, Tr60-100B and PA14-P1) were sequenced. The phage integration site of one lysogen was identified. In other strains deletions and mutations were characterized.
