Dataset – Securitized Real Estate Debt Issuances in Brazil (CRIs), 2000–2024

This dataset compiles the empirical material used in the article on housing securitization in Brazil (2000–2024). It includes structured data on Real Estate Receivables Certificates (CRIs) issuances obtained from public records of the Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM), as well as systematized information on underlying real estate assets backing selected issuances, particularly those related to Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF). The repository also contains spatial datasets and maps produced from these data, along with compiled information on the IFIX index and on Brazilian Real Estate Investment Funds (FIIs) that acquire CRIs and related housing-backed securities. All files were organized by the authors to ensure transparency and allow partial replication of the empirical procedures adopted in the study.
