ATLAS Data Pack

The data behind the ATLAS pages at https://indahl.ai/atlas, as files you can open in a spreadsheet, a GIS tool or Python. Each dataset comes as the original JSON file unchanged, as CSV with one row per record, and for points on a map as GeoJSON. Each dataset carries its own build or pull date, or data year, listed in SOURCES.md. Epoch AI values are as of the pull date, 2026-10-28, and Epoch has updated some sites since. On 2 November 2026 the files were opened with pandas 3.1 and with geopandas 1.2, and every count was compared with the live ATLAS pages and matched, including 77 Epoch AI data centers, 1,649 OpenStreetMap data centers, 14,280 operating plants and 1,608 planned plants. All GeoJSON files read as points in EPSG:4326. The file verify.py compares every CSV and GeoJSON cell with the JSON. Terms. This pack mixes data from several sources and each part keeps the licence of its source. OpenStreetMap-derived files are under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0, © OpenStreetMap contributors. Epoch AI-derived files are under CC BY 4.0. US government data from the EIA and EPA is in the public domain. Heuremen LLC adds no restriction to any of them. The files are listed by licence in LICENSE.txt in the zip. The Zenodo licence field is set to Other (Attribution) because no single listed licence covers the whole pack.
