# README
This dataset was collected with the aim to investigate functional and structural differences in adults with dyslexia.
The data was collected at the University Hospital of Ghent, Belgium on a 3T Siemens Prisma scanner from November 2021 - May 2022.
Ethics approval was obtained from the medical ethical committee of Ghent University Hospital (approval number BC-09822).
The dataset consists of
- T1-weighted image
- Diffusion weighted images:
dwi series with A-P phase encoding (b-shells: 0,1200,3000)
a b-zero weighted scan with P-A phase encoding for EPI distortion correction
- Task related functional MRI images (all block designs):
covert letter fluency task
visual rhyme decision task
lexical decision task
fieldmap for EPI distortion correction
## Participants
Thirty-five adults with a diagnosis of dyslexia and 35 individuals without any diagnosis of language or reading impairment were recruited for this study.
Inclusion criteria were:
- Dutch as a first language
- age between 18 and 40
- right-handedness
All participants had normal or corrected-to-normal vision and reported no history of brain injury or neurological disease. All participants in the dyslexia group received a diagnosis of dyslexia from a trained professional, either while they were at school or in the context of receiving disability services at university/college.

## 受试者
本研究共招募35名确诊阅读障碍的成年人,以及35名无任何语言或阅读障碍诊断的健康个体。
纳入标准如下:
- 荷兰语为母语
- 年龄介于18至40周岁之间
- 右利手
所有受试者视力正常或经矫正后可达正常水平,无脑损伤或神经系统疾病史。阅读障碍组的所有受试者均由专业人员确诊,确诊时机可为其在校就读期间或在大学/学院接受残疾服务期间。
