Qld WildNet Data API

This API accesses data from QLD Government's [WildNet database](https://www.qld.gov.au/environment/plants-animals/species-information/wildnet) that has been approved for public release. There are a number of functions that retrieve information for species, taxonomy, species lists and reference codes. \r\n\r\nThe API returns the information available in the [WildNet Application](https://wildnet.science-data.qld.gov.au/)\r\n\r\nIf you are establishing a long-term connection to the API, please email [[e-mail]](mailto:[e-mail]) to be added to the API users email list. This list will be notified when major changes are made to the API.\r\n\r\nWildNet information can also be accessed through:\r\n\r\n[Biomaps](https://apps.information.qld.gov.au/Storymaps/Biomaps/) provides a map interface to display the WildNet records approved for publication with other spatial layers (such as cadastre, protected areas, vegetation and biodiversity value mapping). A range of WildNet species list reports based on all WildNet records and other environmental reports can be requested for properties and drawn areas etc.\r\n\r\n[WetlandMaps](https://environment.des.qld.gov.au/wetlandmaps/) provides a map interface to display WildNet records approved for publication with other spatial layers (such as wetland mapping).\r\n\r\nThe [Queensland Globe](https://qldglobe.information.qld.gov.au/) provides a map interface to display WildNet records approved for publication with other spatial layers and themes. \r\n\r\nOther WildNet products are made available via the [Queensland Government Open Data Portal](https://www.data.qld.gov.au/dataset?q=wildnet).
