A Point-Based Dataset of Rainfall-Induced Shallow Landslides in Hebei and Beijing, Zixing, and Longyan, China

This dataset contains point-based inventories of rainfall-induced shallow landslide initiation locations from three recent extreme-rainfall events in China: the Northeastern Taihang Mountains, Zixing, and Longyan. The inventories include 18,496 initiation points in the Northeastern Taihang Mountains, 15,016 initiation points in Zixing, and 3,386 initiation points in Longyan, for a total of 36,898 records. Each point represents an interpreted landslide initiation location rather than a complete landslide boundary or affected area. The dataset is provided in ESRI Shapefile format and includes geographic coordinates, local terrain and vegetation attributes, and imagery-related metadata. Study-area boundary files and documentation are also included.
