The objective of this study was to report a case of HUS due to EHEC O145:H25 isolated in Tennessee and to analyze the strain’s whole genome sequencing (WGS).
Enzymes known as beta-lactamases (beta-lactamases;EC 3.5.2.6) are generated by bacteria and confer multi-resistance to beta-lactam antibiotics. This WGS have novel mutated TEM beta lactamase.
