VPRS 15020 Register of Inward Correspondence, 'K' Series

This series is one of a number maintained in the Occupation Branch of the Department of Crown Lands and Survey after 1896. It registers correspondence received relating to selection purchase leases for irrigable lands and Mallee lands. Much of the correspondence registered in this series relates to the area in the immediate vicinity of Mildura.Registrations consisted of the registered number, the dates of the letter and of the entry, the name and address of the correspondent, a summary of the subject of the letter and how it was dealt with. This last entry was most usually the number of the file to which the piece of correspondence was attached or a reference to a District Land Office.
