资源简介:
Strain ZY112 (=KCTC 62370=MCCC 1H00302) was a Gram-negative, rod-shaped, and anaerobic bacterium isolated from Grateloupia sp. (a species of red algae) which was from a coastal reef in Weihai, China. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain ZY112 was a new species of Agaribacterium. We reported the complete genome of this strain: the genome was 4,280,525 bp in size, had a GC content of 44.56%, and contained 3,744 predicted genes. Strain ZY112 featured a strong ability to decompose polysaccharides. Among the protein-coding genes, genes involved in the degradation of polysaccharides such as agar and xylan were found. Researching it was of great significance to understand the role of algae-based microorganisms in the carbon cycle.
