HOW STUDENTS' ACADEMIC MOTIVATION CHANGES AFTER WATCHING MOTIVATIONAL CONTENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

This article investigates the influence of motivational content on social media platforms on students’ academic motivation. In the digital age, students spend a considerable amount of time on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Telegram, where motivational videos and educational influencers are increasingly popular. The study analyzes how such content affects learners’ attitudes toward studying, goal-setting, self-confidence, and productivity. A qualitative and observational approach was used to examine students’ reactions and behavioral changes after regularly consuming motivational content online. The findings indicate that motivational content can positively influence academic engagement, increase self-discipline, and encourage students to pursue educational goals. However, excessive dependence on social media motivation may also create unrealistic expectations and short-term emotional excitement without sustainable action. The article emphasizes the importance of balanced digital consumption and conscious learning habits among students.
