Erigeron canadensis Transcriptome or Gene expression

Horseweed (Conyza canadensis) was the first broadleaf weed to evolve glyphosate resistance and also is the most widely distributed glyphosate-resistant weed in the USA and world. However, there exists scant sequence data for this species, which could aid in elucidating the non-target-based glyphosate resistance mechanism. We chose to perform transcriptome sequencing of horseweed by using the 454 technique to acquire candidate sequences for functional genomics analysis.
