This series comprised books of handwritten notes taken by the Secretary to the Department of the Premier and Cabinet at Cabinet meetings.The series commenced in October 1992 following the election of the Kennett Liberal government. It had not previously been the practice for public service to attend Cabinet meetings in Victoria. The Bracks Labor government, elected in 1999, continued to have the Secretary or Acting Secretary to the Department of the Premier and Cabinet attend Cabinet meetings.
