Metagenomic and metaproteomic study of oral lichen planus affected and unaffected regions. Homo sapiens

In this study we have sampled the microbiota associated with the buccal mucosa of healthy individuals (N=6, H) as well as the affected (OLP) and unaffected (H-OLP) buccal mucosa from OLP patients (N=6).The microbial communities associated to the buccal mucosa of healthy and OLP patients was studied using proteomics and metagenomics. For the latter, we amplified the hypervariable region V3-V4 of the gene 16S rRNA and sequenced it using MiSeq Illumina technology.
