Synovial and Clear Cell Sarcoma Mouse Models. Mus musculus

This sequencing project will investigate the genetic changes associated with the development of synovial and clear cell sarcoma (CCS) in mouse models after the expression of SS18-SSX2 and EWS-ATF1 fusion genes, respectively. A very rapid onset of visible tumors in the mouse CCS model relative to synovial sarcoma suggest that fewer additional hits may be required to foster progression of the tumor in CCS model. This may represent a fundamental difference between the biology of the two fusion oncogenes, as all other aspects of the models are the same
