Leptodiaptomus sp. Sequence-Based Genotyping

We describe the effects of four ecologically contrasting lakes on the genomic structure of four populations of copepods. We quantified the divergence between population and assessed the relationships between neutral and adaptive genomic distance to salinity divergence and habitat permanence. Additionally, we explored different scenarios of migration and lineage splitting related to adaptation to the different ecological conditions of the lakes. Together, this information would support the hypothesis that ecological divergence in this cluster of lakes is a main driver of diversification and speciation of copepods.
