We collected data on outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) by Chinese A-share listed companies from the China Stock Market and Accounting Research Database (CSMAR), and constructed an unbalanced panel dataset of 2,194 Chinese A-share listed companies' OFDI activities from 2003 to 2022.
