Snow GPR Data AGF-212 2026

AGF SNOW GPR UNIS COURSE 212 2026

Between the 04.03.2026 and 10.03.2026 800 MHz GPR DATA was collected along several transects covering Tellbreen, Svalbard, Norway as part of the UNIS Course 212 Snow and Ice Processes. The raw data of the gpr files and manual snow depth measurements can be found in the following files, as well as the extrapolation results for snow volume/ snow water equivalent for Tellbreen. 

rawdatagpr.zip: raw data of the gpr files, the files were processed using mala vision pro 

manual_probing_txt: file with snow depth from manual probing: Date in format DD.MM.YY, Transect is the number of the Transect the probing was done with (31, 35, 36, 38, 39, 45), Geometry in EPSG 32633, snow depth in meters,

headers: "Date,Latitude,Longitude,Transect,geometry,snow_depth" 

picked_snow_depth.txt: contains all used picked gpr data: Transect is the Number of the Transect (Name of the raw data file), Easting and Northing in EPSG:32633, top depth is the depth of the picked upper layer, snow_ice depth is the depth of the snow ice interface whereas the velocity va = 225.08 · 10**6 m/s was used (see Report Methods section), snowdepth is the difference between these two layers and snow_cal_1 is the calibrated snow depth - for the extrapolations and anything in results and discussion section "snow_cal_1" was used (in meter)
