Gaines Street Corridor

The Gaines Street Area is of key importance to downtown Tallahassee as the City emerges as a major university, government and employment center. September 1991 to January 2002: Starting with the "Southside Revitalization Study," which included the Gaines Street corridor, the city of Tallahassee adopted a number of plans and studies that established land development regulations and other measures to revitalize the Gaines Street/All Saints Neighborhoods. The Gaines Street Corridor is generally bounded to the north by Pensacola Street, to the west by Stadium and Eppes Drives, to the south by Gamble Street and FAMU Way, and to the east by Suwannee Street and the CSX tracks, which area contains approximately 457 acres within the city.
