Vemurafenib response and resistance analysis of metastatic melanomas with mutant and wild type BRAF

Vemurafenib response and resistance effects on gene expression in metastatic melanomas with mutant and wild type BRAF Parental M14 or A2058 cells, and their isogenic VemR counterparts were cultured in DMEM/F12 media containing 5% FBS. The VemR M14 and A2058 cells maintained in 100 nM or 4 mM vemurafenib, respectively, were rinsed three times to remove drug and incubated in drug free media prior to RNA isolation. Mel-14-108 and Mel-14-089 cells were treated overnight with 10 nM or 4 mM vemurafenib, respectively.
