Predictors of robustness (correlation coefficient, ±s.e.).

We analyzed a multiple regression model with Ka/Ks ratio, lethality, and colony growth of heterozygous knockouts in complete and minimal media as potential predictors of robustness. Bold numbers indicate P<0.01, bold italics P<0.05. For ER, Ka/Ks ratio, lethality, and heterozygous knockout growth rates, each are significant predictors of robustness. In contrast, lethality was the only measure of gene importance that was significantly correlated with GR and BR.
