We applied RNA-seq analysis of total RNA isolated from laser capture microdissected intestinal epithelium. The analysis aimed at charactericing the gene expression seen in ulcer-associated cell lineage epithelial cells, and to contrast this with that of healthy control epithelium and epithelium from inflammatory bowel disease-patients with active inflammation. Overall design: The epithelial monolayer from six patients with active Crohn's disease (CD) with ulcer-associated cell lineage (UACL) and seven healthy controls were included in the final analysis. Both UACL and non-UACL epithelium was isolated from the CD patients, bringing the total sample pool up to 19. ***Please note that raw data is not provided as Norwegian law does not allow public access to human sequences raw data.
