资源简介:
This dataset contains results of RNA-seq of dorsal and ventral parts of rat hippocampi. The rats were subdivided into two groups: sham-operated animals (animal nos. 1, 4, 14, 15) and rats (nos. 9, 21, 35, 36) that received intracerebroventricular injection of 192IgG-saporin, a toxin that causes degeneration of septal cholinergic neurons. The hippocampal samples (dorsal and ventral) were collected 1.5 month after the operation. RNA was isolated from all samples and the ribosomal RNA was depleted leaving intact non-coding RNAs. The alterations in the gene expression produced by the immunotoxin were stronger in the dorsal as compared to the ventral hippocampus. We found that 192IgG-saporin strongly upregulated expression of microglia-specific genes only in the dorsal hippocampus. The expression of genes specifically expressed in other cell types (neurons, astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, and vascular cells) was practically unaffected. 192IgG-saporin also increased the expression of ribosome-forming proteins in both dorsal and ventral hippocampus.
