These professionals often report sudden nocturnal awakenings without apparent external stimuli, which may be linked to hypervigilance—a heightened state of alertness that can impact both mental and physical health. The NER-SPEC D-7 is a multifactorial screening tool designed to assess neuroresilience and nocturnal arousals through a structured questionnaire. It targets factors influencing mental alertness and the ability to respond to stressful or unexpected situations.
