To investigate the molecular pathway underlying the effect of exercise, we performed microarray gene expression analysis of the quadriceps of transgenic mice carrying full-length human androgen receptor (AR) with 97 CAGs (AR97Q) at 9 weeks of age with or without exercise. Exercise was started from 5 weeks of age and maintained for 4 weeks. Male AR97Q mice were examined at 9 weeks of age for each group (sedentary or exercise). Total RNA was isolated from the quadriceps of three mice in each group.
