SMAPVEX 19-22 Millbrook Semi Permanent Sites Soil Data

The data in these files were part of a joint project to support calibration and validation of the Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) mission. Stations were originally installed in 2011 - 2013 and equipment and ownership were altered several times. All EXCEPT the 3 stations at Cary Institute were removed in 2022. Data collection from the Cary stations ended in 2024 for Gifford and Greenhouse sites and 2025 for the Millbrook_Hydra site, which is near the CRN site and Cary’s weather station. Note that the raw data for all but the Millbrook_Hydra sites were cleaned using the R script titled Soil_Moisture_Semi_Permanent_Data_Cleaning_R_Script.txt. This selected only the hourly data, removed known anomalous data and calculated averages when there were multiple lines of data for the same time. Note that the data may need further cleaning.
