Phronesis Index Dataset: AI-Generated Persuasive Text in Ethically Sensitive Contexts — Health, Finance, Politics (GPT-3.5-turbo, n=50, April 2026)

This dataset contains 50 persuasive texts generated via GPT-3.5-turbo (OpenAI, April 2026) across three ethically sensitive categories: Health (17 contexts), Finance (17), and Politics (16). Each text was generated using a standardised prompt requesting persuasive writing for a general adult audience. The dataset constitutes the primary empirical corpus for a study applying the Phronesis Index (PI) framework — a novel computational instrument grounded in Aristotle's concept of phronesis (practical wisdom, Nicomachean Ethics VI.5.1140a-b) — to assess whether AI-generated persuasive text activates or bypasses the reader's capacity for ethically grounded practical judgment.
