The principal book of accounts summarising the transactions of James Busby, as Superintendent of the Male Orphan Farm. The ledger contains such asset accounts as Stock, Horned Cattle, Wheat Crop, and Hop Garden; and personal accounts such as Male Orphan School and Female Orphan School. The Cash Account is included among the asset accounts, instead of in a separate book as is the general modern practice. A double-entry system is used, and folio references link the relevant accounts for each entry. (4/393). 1 vol.
