VPRS 13000 Subject Files, Alpha-Numeric System

This series constituted subject files created and maintained by the Melbourne Underground Rail Loop Authority VA 2987 and subsequently by the Metropolitan Transit Authority, VA 1044. The Authority was responsible for supervising and co-ordinating the planning, financing and construction of the Melbourne rail loop. Prior to the establishment of the Authority, considerable planning for the loop was carried out by the Railway Construction Board VA 691.The files relate to subjects including industrial relations, safety issues, MURLA coordination conferences, Joint Safety Council and contract related matters.
