The dataset represents the images of collected food waste for 7-days from a residential area. The collected food waste was characterized, and based on its properties, simulated food waste was prepared to optimize the operating conditions to generate a high yield of bio-oil from microwave co-pyrolysis of food waste and low-density polyethylene. Thermogravimetric analysis of feedstock under optimized conditions was done. Effect of low-density polyethylene and microwave susceptor addition on temperature of feedstock, bio-oil yield and total acid number (TAN) were evaluated with heating rate and single-factor ANOVA, respectively.
