资源简介:

Roman marble sculpture dated in the 2nd century A.D. It represents a female bust with a complex hairstyle. Although the identity of the character is unknown, some researchers believe that it could be the representation of Faustina Maior (wife of Emperor Antonino Pio, 2nd century). In any case, the beauty of the portrait and its quality are irrefutable proof that we are facing a character from high Roman society. It is currently preserved in the Frei Manuel do Cenáculo National Museum (Évora, Portugal). Catalog No. ME1711. ALARCÃO, Jorge de; Jeannette U.
