Gene expression in wildtype and Prxl2a knockout mouse

The function of Prxl2a gene is still not fully understood. To provide some new clues to investigate the function of Prxl2a, we collected multiple tissues from wildtype and homozygous Prxl2a knockout mice, including subcutaneous inguinal adipose tissue (IAT), dorsal brown adipose tissue (BAT), brain and liver tissue, and performed RNA-seq. The female wildtype and Prxl2a knockout mice in 12 weeks age were prepared. Each group contained 3 mice. Before tissues extraction, the mice were systematically perfused with PBS solution to remove the whole-body blood. Then IAT, BAT, brain and liver tissue were excised and fast cryopreserved with liquid nitrogen before RNA-seq.
