对企鹅排泄物进行宏基因组研究,不但可以推断南极企鹅的食性、建立与企鹅生活相关的宏基因组基线数据,而且有助于揭示企鹅适应南极环境变化的适应机制以及对栖息环境的反馈,进一步增进人们对于南极环境变化对企鹅进化和栖息地变迁的影响的认识。
本数据为中国第36次南极科学考察长城站周围企鹅排泄物的宏基因组数据。
1.测量仪器

2.观测方法和所获观测资料
2019年12月11日开始实施野外采样,2020年1月8日完成了全部企鹅排泄物样品的采集工作,获取样品52份。采用洁净钢铲采集企鹅新鲜排泄样品,置于无菌采样袋中。冷冻保存至回国后进行测试分析。采用佳明etrex302 GPS记录采样地理位置。
3.观测区域
长城站周边陆地区域,包括阿德雷岛,幸福湾,生物湾,黄金湾。
Metagenomic studies of penguin feces can not only infer the diet of Antarctic penguins and establish metagenomic baseline data associated with penguin livelihoods, but also help uncover the adaptive mechanisms by which penguins adapt to Antarctic environmental changes and their feedback on their habitats, further advancing human understanding of the impacts of Antarctic environmental changes on penguin evolution and habitat shifts.
This dataset comprises metagenomic data of penguin feces collected around the Great Wall Station during China's 36th Antarctic Scientific Expedition.

2. Observation Methods and Collected Data
Field sampling was launched on December 11, 2019, and all penguin feces samples were collected by January 8, 2020, with a total of 52 samples acquired. Fresh penguin fecal samples were collected using sterile steel shovels and placed in sterile sampling bags. The samples were cryopreserved until returning to the home laboratory for subsequent testing and analysis. The Garmin eTrex302 GPS was utilized to record the geographic coordinates of each sampling site.
3. Observation Areas
Terrestrial regions surrounding the Great Wall Station, including Ardley Island, Happy Bay, Biological Bay, and Gold Bay.
