Effect of dietary equol on calcium status and bone metabolism in an animal model of postmenopausal osteoporosis

[ENG:]The dataset contains results from an experimental study conducted on laboratory animals (model of postmenopausal osteoporosis) aimed at determining the effect of dietary equol supplementation on calcium homeostasis, body composition, and bone metabolism. The data include diet intake, body and organ weights (absolute and relative), serum biochemical and hematological parameters, as well as histomorphometric bone measurements. All analyses were performed according to standard laboratory procedures using biochemical assays, hematology analyzers, and light microscopy.The study was conducted at the Poznań University of Life Sciences, Poland.For further details on the experiment, refer to ReadMe.
