The abbreviations, formulas and descriptions of the eight texture variables used to model successional vegetation attributes are presented. Pi,j is the (i, j) element of the GLCM, and represents the probability of finding the reference pixel value i in combination with a neighbor pixel value j. Note that Σi,j Pi,j = 1.
