The Air Quality System (AQS) is the air quality data repository of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It contains ambient air pollution data collected from thousands of monitoring stations by the EPA, state, local, and tribal air pollution control agencies. This database also includes meteorological data, descriptive information about monitoring stations (including their geographic locations and operators), as well as data quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) information, which is used for air quality assessment, designation, modeling, and report compilation.
