Plays written by women, and performed in Paris between 1809 and 1906

The [National Archives](https://www.archives-nationales.culture.gouv.fr) preserves a magnificent collection of more than 30000 manuscripts of plays submitted to the Bureau of Theatre Censorship in the 19th century. Most of these works have never been published. Internal inventories and databases, including the results of the partly published work of Odile Krakovitch, are now available online on the institution’s documentary portal. The dataset made available consists of the 322 plays and operas written or composed by women (141 writers), performed in Parisian theatres between 1809 and 1906. The records of the plays shall contain the following information: * the title of the coin; * theatrical genre; * the form; * the date of the first performance; * the theatre where the first performance took place (Paris); * mention of an edition of the piece; * the possible existence of a digitised version accessible online (Wikisource, Gallica, Archive.org or Google Book); * the author (with Wikidata, Wikipedia and BNF alignments); * any other authors; * the URL of the descriptive notice in the inventory of the National Archives. Some pieces appear several times in the dataset: they have several authors, or even they have been authorised and performed on different dates in several theatres. It should be noted that since censorship was abolished between 1830 and September 1835, there is no data for this period in the archives of the theatrical censorship office.
