资源简介:
This dataset is used to investigate the relationships between genetics, phenotypes, environment, and phylogeographic structure in ten species of birds located in Southwestern North America. We sequenced over 200 genomes at low coverage; measured over 300 individuals for their beaks, legs, wings, and tails; and calculated species distribution models for all ten species in the present and Last Glacial Maximum. We then compared these various metrics together. We found that geographic features like the presence of barriers (IBB), distribution of abundance (IBA), historical changes in suitability (IBH), environmental differences (IBE), isolation by distance (IBD), or a combination explain genotypes and phenotypes across species' ranges. However, these patterns tend to be species-specific.The paper can be accessed here:Kaiya Provost, Stephanie Yun Shue, Meghan Forcellati, Brian Tilston Smith, The genomic landscapes of desert birds form over multiple time scales, Molecular Biology and Evolution, 2022;, msac200, https://doi.org/10.1093/molbev/msac200
