Transcriptome of resistant and susceptible Hydrangea macrophylla varieties in response to Corynespora cassiicola infection

Hydrangea macrophylla is of great ornamental and economic value. However, it is sensitive to foliage pathogen infection, which causes significant economic losses. Breeding resistant varieties is the most economical and effective way to solve this problem. However, the resistant variety and relative genes are rare, which impeded the process of resistant breeding. The research offer genetic resources and theoretical guidance for breeding leaf spot disease resistance in hydrangea.
