资源简介:
Two Zetaproteobacteria isolates (Mariprofundus luti & Mariprofundus marisbaltici) originating from typical, low Fe (porewater Fe(II) 70-100 µM) coastal marine sediments. The two species share <90% average nucleotide identity (ANI) with each other, and <80% ANI with any other Zetaproteobacteria genome. The genomes reveal the potential Fe(II) oxidation pathways employed by these two novel chemolithoautrophic Fe(II)-oxidizing species and reveal the lifestyle adaptations which enable the Zetaproteobacteria to survive in coastal environments with low Fe(II) and regular redox fluctuations. Isolates were obtained from sediments of Norsminde Fjord and Kalø Vig (Aarhus Bay area) of Denmark. For each isolate, genomic DNA was extracted and sequenced with Illumina MiSeq Reagent Kit V2, PE250, yielding 3 to 4 million read pairs.
