VPRS 17631 Outward Letter Book, Central Gippsland Regional Library Service

This record series contains letter books of the Central Gippsland Regional Library Service.At a meeting of the Executive Council held on 30 September 1975, the Governor-in-Council approved the formation of the Central Gippsland Regional Library Service. Members of the Service were the Shires of Alberton, Avon, Maffra, Rosedale and the City of Sale. Chairmanship of the Committee was initially undertaken by the Shire of Maffra. The Committee Minutes continued to be maintained by that Shire.Letter books were the means by which copies of correspondence despatched from the office were retained for future reference.
