To systematically explore the possible mechanisms underlying the inhibition of luteolin on liver cancer cells to the better application of this single flavonoid compound, here, we conducted an investigation incorporating transcriptomic analysis, proteomic analysis, and computational biology throughout the process of luteolin treatment in the hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HuH-7, which showed abnormal and proportional gene expression related with Ser/Thr/Tyr residues binding sites-containing proteins, including SRC, AKT1, MET, PIK3CA, MAP2K1, MAPK3 and MAP3K7 (Ji et al., 2023; Kasai et al., 2018).
